About Us

Treasured Vessels Girls’ Centre is a fully registered Christian charitable community-based organization (CBO), (Reg No. JC/235/CBO/2023) located in walukuba, Masese, Jinja City, Uganda.

It was founded in 2018 by Mrs. Racheal Muggaga Achen and it reaches out to vulnerable teenage mothers and their children who are left without adequate care and support due to the risk of HIV/AIDS, absence of love and security in the families; family disputes and unwanted pregnancy of trafficked or sexually exploited girls. Through different activities focused on empowering teenage mothers and their children, Treasured Vessels reaches out to schools, institutions, and youth programs with training in practical skills for teenage girls. In these activities, we work at grass root level with communities to reach out and support victims of GBV (Gender Based Violence), to rehabilitate and to address community health challenges of teenage mothers by creating awareness.

Our Mission

To empower teenage mothers and their children in our community by providing them with equal opportunities for self-actualisation and the chance to make meaningful contributions to society. We achieve this by offering training and support initiatives, counselling and emotional support to strengthen teenage girls and teenage mothers to help them realise their full potential.  We also share the love of God by practically providing for some of their physical needs such as food, clothing, medical care and other basic needs of life.

Our ultimate goal is to create a strong Girl and a strong World, where every girl and woman has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Our Vision

To create a world where teenage girls and teenage mothers are empowered to overcome prejudice, exclusion, and poverty, both in and out of school.

We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed, regardless of her background or circumstances. By providing girls with the tools and resources they need to overcome these challenges, we can help them achieve their full potential and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
